lozenge-shaped Almond sweet Tabriz Style لوزبادام تبریز

Ingredients:

  • 300 gr Almond powder
  • 150 gr sugar
  • half a cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of Rose water
  • One tablespoon Honey
  • some Saffron
  • 1 teaspoon Almond extract

Put the sugar into a saucepan,

Pour half a cup of water,

Turn on the heat,

put the pan over medium-low heat

Pour 1/4 cup of Rose water, Stir well,

add one tablespoon Honey,

dissolve saffron in hot water, pour into the pan,

(or you can add the dried saffron straight into the pan),

You will have the Sharbat with this thickness as shown in this photo,

then turn off the heat,

sift the Almond powder over it,

Pour one teaspoon Almond extract,

combine very well all the ingredients,

 If the dough sticks to your hands (too wet) add a little extra Almond powder,

(adding Almond powder until the dough becomes dry enough for form a ball that does not stick to your hands)

transfer the dough to a plate,

Flat the dough with fingers,

you can sprinkle some pistachio over it,

push them into the dough,

cover the plate and put it into the fridge for at least 2 hours,

cut the dough into lozenge-shaped,
