Traditional Persian dessert Shiraz Style (Paloodeh Shirazi) پالوده شیرازی


100 gr Chinese rice noodles,

1 cup water

1 cup sugar or 3/4 cup of Honey

1/4 cup lemon juice

1/4 cup Rose water

A pinch of Saffron

 Place ground saffron in a cup and pour hot water over it, to release it’s color and Aroma,

then add into a bowl

add one cup sugar or 3/4 cup Honey

pour 1/4 cup Rose water

pour 1/4 cup lemon juice

OR squeeze one lemon

dissolve all together

freeze in a suitable bowl

bring water to boil in a pan

add the rice noodles

Boil them for approximately 10 – 15 minutes

Drain the noodles in a colander and rinse with cold water,

Take the frozen mixture out of the freezer

add drained noodles to it and stir

put it in the freezer for another 2,3 hours

    First of all thank you very much for your great blog. It’s been a good change in our routine cooking style. We’re really proud of you and wish you best of the best.
    About this recipe, I’ve got three questions:
    First, as an ingredient you’ve mentioned a cup of water but I didn’t quite get when you use it !
    Then how long do you put the mixture in a freezer? before adding the drained noodles.
    And finally would you please say or show size of the cup you use?
