Chicken Quince and Prune Stew خورشت به و آلو


500 gr Boneless Skinless chicken breast (lamb or beef),

1 Quince,

20 Prunes (less or more),

1 Onion,

Salt, Pepper, Saffron

There is no need to peel Quince, just core and cut into cubes, Cut the Onion into small cubes

cut the chicken and  put in a pan, add Saffron and a little water, put the lid on and let it simmer for about ten minutes

Then add the chopped quince, chopped onion, one cup of water into a pan,

 put the lid on and simmer for about 20-30 min over low heat

then add the Prunes and boil all together for another 10 min

” The seeds of quince are used as a remedy for pneumonia and lung disease”
