Green Bean Rice (لوبیا سبز پلو)


3 cups of Rice,

300-400 gr Diced beef (or ground beef),

400 Green beans,

1 large Onion,

2 tablespoon tomato paste,

Salt, Pepper, turmeric, Saffron, cinnamon, vegetable oil (or Butter) and lemon juice.

optional: Paprika, mushroom

dice an onion into small pieces, put them in a pan and fry for 5 min, Add a teaspoon of turmeric powder,

then cut meat into pieces add into the pan, fry for 5 min

add one cup of water, salt, pepper and cinnamon, cover the pan and let the meat cook for about one hour

Cut Green beans into small 1-2 cm

add the beans into the pan,

add 2 tablespoon tomato paste

combine the ingredients!

pour 2 cups of water

 cover the pan and cook over low heat  another 30 min, until the beans getting soft

 put 3 cups of rice, one cup of water, salt, vegetable oil and saffron

the ingredients have enough water to cook rice

In this food the crispy part of the rice in bottom of the pot will be burnt so easily because of the tomato paste,

so we have to let it cook with low heat and so slowly!

put the lid on, then turning on the electric rice cooker (or any kind of pot), cooking time around one hour on low heat

During the half time of the Rice cooking process( after 10-15 mins), while most of the water evaporates,

 add all ingredients and mix with half-cooked rice,

avoid reaching the ingredients in the bottom of the pan,

 dig some deep holes in the rice mixture with a handle of a (wooden) spoon to make sure the water will evaporate !

put the lid on, and let the cooking process continue on low heat,

 rice cooking time totally : around 45-60 mins
