For cooking Rice, usually I don’t rinse it, since I want to keep the vitamins and minerals, preferably make it with rice cooker which is a simple, healthy and effective way to cook:
For every cup of long grain rice, add one cup water (or one and half; depends the rice) , vegetable oil, salt and a pinch of saffron
If you would rather use butter instead of oil, you make your cooking even MORE delicious!

This crust is called “ Tahdig ” in traditional Persian recipes.
